Lesson 9 Ancestery
When I looked up my name my parents, grandparents and aunt and uncle all came up as well. There were many more Fansins but not sure how many I am related to. In one record they have my residency wrong. I've lived in Parker all my life. Another has my birthday wrong. I'm getting old but I was not born in 1947. On to check out my parents.
In finding my grandparents it is mind boggling that they have so many different spellings of my grandfathers last name. In one instance there were four different spellings. In a census record I checked my great uncle or great grandfather (not sure which) had been living with my grandparents. My dad was a boy at the time.
Here again I looked at my mom's family. I located them in the 1920 cenus. I had not realized that my grandmother had been born in Wisconsin. I wanted to check the 1930 censu but they only had a partial listing and my grandfather was not on it.
In using the Sanborn Map of Parker 1935. I was able to locate the Parker High School. My parents house is a block from the school but I could not locate it. The streets are not well defined so it is not easy to find evey working from the school.

Thanks for the report, Linda. You made some good findings. Remember that Ancestry takes records as they are provided from various sources, hence the potential for human error in spellings, etc. Have fun using these genealogy resources!
